Overview

Jaipur Home began as an idea to bring the centuries-old tradition of beautifully handcrafted wood products from the Indian State of Rajasthan to the United States. Over the years, our offerings have expanded to include examples of distinctive upholstered, metal and “mixed media” items. With humble acknowledgement of the debt of gratitude owed to our valued Retail Partners, we continue to build on our original idea and vision as evidenced by the breadth of beautifully designed and crafted items presented here.

Anchoring our product array is a core lineup of dining, bedroom and occasional furniture fashioned of solid wood. The raw timber is machine cut, pressure treated and kiln dried, and then used to produce a variety of hand finished silhouettes and collections. Additionally, we offer the work of skilled carpenters and craftspeople who produce hundreds of uniquely beautiful items using some combination of new and reclaimed woods, found objects, metals and fabrics.

All wood used is either harvested responsibly through the Forestry Commission, or reclaimed and repurposed from its original use in buildings, boats, trunks, etc-even railroad ties-and all stains and finishes used are certified as Eco-friendly. Fabric is purchased locally-and upholstery is done in house. The metals used are forged using safe and responsible methods. Each step of the production process is designed to preserve and respect individual talent and tradition-and also to conform strictly to internationally recognized fair labor, conservation, and safety practices.
